They have never heard the Gospel

Door to Door Evangelism

In this photograph, Pastor Parakit had gone door to door to give Prince of Peace books to farmers and local community officials during Christmas season last year. We must help this pastor, and others like him who do personal evangelism.

" Consistently, we notice that they tend to be more interested in the Gospel after they received this book.

We work mostly with poor countryside people and hill tribes. They do not have much chance to receive and read books such as Prince of Peace. So when they received Prince of Peace, it’s a different experience for them."

Why Prince of Peace?

Why Prince of Peace?

A PERFECT CHRISTMAS PRESENT

In this photograph, a church in Bangkok organized a fun Christmas party for 180 young enlisted Thai soldiers. During their boot camp, these young men took a break to enjoy good food, music, and also had a chance to get to know Jesus. They each received the Prince of Peace book.

Beautiful, Yet Cost Effective

We want to honor Christ by giving the most beautiful Christmas presents to Thai people. When someone receives Prince of Peace as a gift, there's immediate joy because it is printed as a precious sacred book, with graceful Thai style illustrations.

Especially Written for Common Thai People

The joy does not stop at the outreach event. Prince of Peace is the full Gospel of Luke, richly rendered in straightforward Thai language. It is easy to understand, even by children as young as fifth-graders.

We assume that the readers have no Christian background whatsoever. Unfamiliar Christian concepts are clearly explained. Plus we use info boxes to highlight any messages or stories that speak directly to the Thai way of life.

Lower the Barrier

" An important aspect of Prince of Peace is that the readers don’t feel that we are forcing our religion on them. Thai people are very sensitive on this matter."

"Prince of Peace is not perceived as a Bible. They perceive that we are giving them a story book. But our hope is that they will read it because it is the Gospel. All our church leaders feel the same way."

Pastor Chatree, New Life Bangkuntian Church, Bangkok

A Quiet but Persistent Presence of Jesus

Because Prince of Peace is a precious, sacred, and beautiful gift, it will not likely be discarded.

Thai people have many spiritual objects in their homes. Prince of Peace will probably be the only presence of Christ within their reach.

And when they do reach out to read, they will have the seed of God's Holy Word, the Life of Jesus, planted in their hearts.

Front Lines of Spiritual Battles

" YOU ARE HELPING THOSE OF US IN THE MISSION FIELD, THOSE WHO ARE AT THE FRONT LINE OF EVANGELISM."

In this photograph, Pastor Nehemiah is on the mission field, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to folks in provinces with less than 0.3% Christians. The best thing we can do for Christian World Mission is to equip this pastor and other evangelists like him. They understand the local languages, cultures, and subtleties that can make or break the delivery of the Gospel.

"Prince of Peace book is easy to read, making it easier to understand God’s Word. It has good visual illustrations.  We ask you to continue to take part in the Lord’s ministry. We thank the THAI WORD team, and all those who provided financial resources to print Prince of Peace.

In the future, we want to get 400 to 500 copies of Prince of Peace to be used in house churches and also other churches in the network."

Take Jesus Home This Christmas

In this photograph, Acts Church of Chiang Mai went door to door to invite neighbors from surrounding urban communities to a special outdoor Christmas celebration on the Church's soccer field. Two local community officials were delighted. They even paid for the stage rental and electricity bills!

All visitors received the Prince of Peace books at the registration table. Prince of Peace book is the glorious presence of Christ that follow hundreds of people to their homes, long after the Christmas season is over.

Family Friendly

Thai urban communities may not know Jesus, but they know this: unlike New Year, Songkran, and other Thai festivities, Christmas celebration is completely family friendly.

There's no alcohol or smoking allowed, which means no violent brawl. Parents feel safe to bring their small children. Hundreds, even thousands of Thai people love to attend such urban community Christmas events.

Celebrating Christmas in Thai urban areas is a new trend in these recent years. Thai churches are using this as an opportunity to share the love of the Heavenly Father who gave his one and only Son to be our Prince of Peace.

Getting to know the Prince of Peace

In this photograph, a remote Thai public school asked a Christian couple to volunteer and teach Christianity after class. They drive one hour every week to teach these impressionable bright young minds. Prince of Peace books were given to each student.

The couple taught these students about Jesus,
straight out of the book.

Prince of Peace is the great way for children, youths, new Christians, and young Christians to discover Jesus, because it is the complete Gospel of Luke, richly rendered in straightforward Thai language. It also contains everything they need to relate the Gospel story to the Thai way of life.
